Michael Turner Gallery – Heroic Beginnings…

Ok, so here we come to the 2nd purpose of this blog: to house galleries of artwork from my favorite comic book artists. And we are starting with the most influential: the late, great Michael Turner. 

Turner was almost as famous for his covers, which will make up most of his gallery here, as he was for the way he drew his female characters. So, I want to kick things off with his cover for the comic series to accompany the Television show Heroes.

Mr. Amazing, the first of my original comic book heroes. Inspired by the artwork of Michael Turner and Jim Lee, he’s basically a mix of Superman and Captain America – powers of flight and super strength, boy scout personality and inspiration to many).
